With the right smoothie addition, you can take your smoothies to the next level of health and flavor.

When it comes to smoothie add-ins, I love tinkering around with as many as I can because the right ones can add extra health benefits, flavor, and texture to smoothies!

After all, why settle for the mundane when there are so many smoothie additions you can add to change up your routine?

Need more greens? Find a great greens powder to add to your smoothie. Love chocolate and a little crunch? Well, cacao nibs are great, healthy smoothie add-ins. Bee pollen and chia seeds are excellent superfood add-ins for power-packed smoothies and juices.

No one likes to drink the same smoothie every day. How boring, right? That’s why I decided to share my top favorite smoothie add-ins. I love smoothies, but I also love to experiment with add-ins!

Here are my three favorites!

Cacao Nibs

Cacao nibs are simply bits from the cacao bean and not only taste delicious (Hello, it’s chocolate after all) but are also healthy for you!

Arguably one of the most popular superfoods - and no, it’s not because of your childhood chia pet - but thanks to their versatility and powerful health benefits.

Chia seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are excellent for heart health. They also provide extra protein and plenty of fiber. Chia seeds also support weight loss. Because when they combine with liquids in your stomach, they create a jelly-like substance that keeps you feeling fuller for longer.

So pick up a bag next time you’re at the grocery store and then toss a handful of these powerful seeds into your next smoothie!

Bee Pollen
